The Cranchi Settantotto 78 is an 82-foot flybridge yacht defined by refined proportions and purposeful design. Styled by Christian Grande in collaboration with Cranchi's design team, the hull features a tall splaying bow, pronounced gunwale, and smooth muscular forms built to handle varying sea conditions. The superstructure sits visibly lighter than the hull, enhancing the yacht's sleek profile. Three Volvo Penta D13 diesel engines producing 1,000 hp each power the boat through IPS3 pods, delivering a maximum speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. Joystick control simplifies maneuvering, while a Humphree stabilization system with carbon fins and interceptor blade maintains stability underway and at rest.

The main deck and flybridge offer extensive open spaces for entertaining and relaxing across the length of the yacht. The main deck includes a generous galley, living area, and relaxation zones, plus an additional head—uncommon for a yacht this size. Five cabins and five heads accommodate guests throughout. Large windows and symmetrical hull openings flood interior spaces with natural light, creating a sense of openness despite the yacht's substantial volume.

Access to the water is simplified through a beach platform with an integrated lift system that raises, lowers, and moves forward. The teak-clad garage opens onto an expansive terrace overlooking the sea and houses generous storage for a tender and jet ski, separated from lounging areas. Two generators ensure efficiency and redundancy, reducing fuel consumption and operational risk. Throughout the yacht, sound-damping and insulation systems minimize noise, while a Garmin glass cockpit integrates entertainment and home automation controls accessible via smartphone or navigation panel.
