The Custom BYD34 is a 34-foot fiberglass catamaran designed for commercial and charter operations. Built to individual specifications, it holds a Certificate of Inspection for up to 34 passengers and meets USCG Small Passenger Vessels standards. The hull employs fire-retardant vinyl-ester resin and foam-core laminate construction with composite bulkheads and decking. Twin Yamaha 150 HP outboards power the standard configuration, with capability for up to twin 300 HP engines delivering 24-knot maximum speed and 18-knot cruising. The boat reaches 30 knots at full load with upgraded power.
The open-plan design prioritizes accessibility and functionality. Wheelchair-accessible side gates and dock-height bow loading accommodate disabled passengers. A hardtop canopy with integrated life vest storage spans the deck, with lashing points for paddleboards and flotation equipment. The helm features a custom aluminum leaning post and 15-inch stainless destroyer wheel with dual-cylinder Seastar Pro hydraulic steering. Dome and courtesy lighting throughout. A private head with manual toilet and 30-gallon holding tank is available as an option.
Standard equipment includes a Garmin Echomap UHD2 74SV chartplotter with GT54-TM transducer, Standard Horizon VHF radio, illuminated compass, and Ready2Talk PA system. The boat arrives with USCG-approved life vests rated for 40 adults and 4 children. Hull construction was verified through independent laminate testing and USCG oversight during build, with engineering certified to American Bureau of Shipping High-Speed Craft standards. The boat is certifiable for exposed, partially protected, or protected waters.
