The Fountaine Pajot FP48 is a 48.95-foot composite catamaran designed for cruising comfort. Built new in 2026, it combines the beam and stability inherent to the catamaran form with the sailing performance of a full-batten mainsail and genoa setup. The boat is powered by twin Yanmar 4JH80C diesel engines and equipped with an integrated 2000-watt solar system.
Accommodation includes three cabins and three heads on freshwater systems, arranged in the owner's version of the design. The layout spans both hulls, with an enclosed saloon forward and an open cockpit aft featuring a fixed bimini top and external lounge area. A gas cooktop is integrated into the deck plan.
Systems and equipment reflect a well-equipped cruising platform: twin electric winches for mainsail and genoa control, a 1500-watt electric windlass, Garmin dual-screen navigation with GPS and AIS, VHF radio with automatic antenna, and a Fusion audio system with Bluetooth. Onboard power includes a 3000-watt charger-converter and 220V or 110V shore-power networks. The boat carries electric toilets, hot-water deck shower, pressure seawater system, and deck cushioning throughout the cockpit and lounge areas. The hull has been treated with epoxy primer and antifouling.
