The Highfield Patrol 500 is a 16.4-metre rigid inflatable designed for both family cruising and commercial work. Built from 5083 aluminium plate with welded 6 and 10mm stringers, the hull features a deep V shape, wide chines, and large-diameter tubes to deliver manoeuvrability, safety, and a soft, dry ride in rough conditions. Powered by a Honda BF100 LRTU outboard, it carries up to 10 people and planes quickly with minimal horsepower. Design category C with MCA rating and commercial coding available.
The 52-centimetre diameter Storm PVC tubes have welded seams and anti-slip EVA decking with self-draining surfaces. The aluminium hull is high-tensile, chromated, and powder-coated in grey, paired with dark grey tubes and upholstery. A chromated and powder-coated aluminium roll bar provides support, while a transom ladder and lifting points are fitted throughout.
The console is SUS 700 FRP with forward seating and storage. Additional seating includes an integrated rear seat with cushion, two jockey seats with FRP construction and storage, and a two-person bench seat. An 90-litre fuel tank is integrated under the deck, accessible via non-return valves.
Electronics include a Garmin Echomap UHD2 65 chartplotter with 6-inch display, Garmin VHF 115i radio, and Garmin GT20-TM transducer. A Fusion Apollo SRX400 head unit powers two XS Sport 6.5-inch LED speakers. Bow and integrated rear cushions, a heavy-duty rubbing strake, and keel guard complete the build.
