The Hylas H48 is a 48-foot cruising sailboat with a proven design favored by offshore voyagers. Refined for 2026, it features a plumb bow and beam that carries aft, enhancing both performance and interior volume. The classic cutter rig with self-tacking staysail reduces deck work in heavy weather, and all lines lead back to the enclosed center cockpit, which has been extended to accommodate crew and offer comfortable seating underway.
Interior layout centers on a raised salon with large skylights and oversized portlights that flood the space with natural light. The galley is arranged as a walk-through design with good storage and safe working space while underway. The master stateroom aft prioritizes comfort on long passages, utilizing every inch of space effectively. An ensuite head connects the master cabin to the nav station and salon and includes dedicated space for a washer and dryer.
Forward accommodations include a generous V-berth in the bow and an over-under crew cabin to port. Two heads serve the yacht throughout. A single 80-horsepower Yammer diesel engine powers the boat.
Built from fiberglass, the H48 combines Hylas's construction standards with a design suited to extended cruising in all conditions.
