2026 J Boats J/9

The J/9 is a 28-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built to simplify daysailing. Designed around cockpit comfort and ease of handling, it features four corner seats that accommodate everyone from solo sailors to larger groups. The layout prioritizes accessibility, with a swim platform at the stern enabling walk-through boarding and casual water entry while anchored or underway.

Sailing is intentionally straightforward. The boat performs well under mainsail alone—a single tiller and sheet are all that's needed. Adding the jib when desired delivers stable, efficient performance without unnecessary complexity. The sailplan is manageable for one person yet delivers the speed and smoothness typically associated with larger designs.

The cockpit is the defining feature: spacious, well-appointed, and built around relaxation and safety. This yacht represents J/Boats' first dedicated daysailer since the J/100, drawing on decades of design experience to balance simplicity with capability.
