The 188 Bay Reef is a center console fishing boat built on an efficient hull design paired with a single 115 hp Yamaha engine. The aggressive entry and narrow draft deliver a smooth, dry ride while keeping fuel costs reasonable. The hull is constructed with foam-injected fiberglass stringers and a molded non-skid inner liner, built to last with no wood components.
The layout prioritizes fishing functionality with a large front casting deck, generous rod storage including gunwale rod holders and console rod holders to accommodate even long fly rods, and a huge bow compartment. Two aerated live wells—one forward and one aft—keep bait and catch fresh. The self-bailing cockpit, rear water wash-down kit, and anchor locker with included anchor support active fishing. Battery storage tucks neatly under the console floor to preserve deck space.
Standard equipment includes a stainless steel wheel with hydraulic steering, windshield with grab rail, electric horn, bilge pump with automatic switch, trolling motor plug, power outlet in the dash, courtesy lights, compass, and four pull-up cleats. The fuel tank is built in. A stainless steel propeller is included. Bilge access is straightforward via a removable storage tub.
