The 2026 MasterCraft NXT22 is a 22-foot wake and surf boat built on the same hull engineering and SurfStar wake-shaping system that defines MasterCraft's larger models. At 8 feet beam and 4,760 pounds dry weight, it splits the difference between the smaller NXT20 and larger NXT24 — compact enough to tow easily, capable of handling a full crew of 14 people or 2,312 pounds. The hull is finished in Midnight Black with Chrome Satin graphics, while the Z6 Tower wears black with integrated bimini cover and standard clamping board racks.
Power comes from the factory Ilmor 5.3L GDI HO VD 2.1 V8, a variable-displacement high-output engine tuned specifically for wake and surf work and paired with a 2.1 transmission ratio matched to the boat's 3,000-pound ballast load. The NXT Fasterfill ballast system fills quickly, and standard equipment includes an engine flush kit, fire extinguishers, 6-inch popup cleats, depth finder, and onboard telematics.
Inside, the cabin layers Coolfeel Flint Gray, Midnight Black, and Jet Black upholstery over a Deckadence Gray floor with Gray SeaDek trim and matching topstitching. The MasterCraft SoundStage audio system delivers six Meridian 7-inch speakers, one 10-inch subwoofer, a 6-channel amp, and digital signal processor with zone control. A Tower Prep Package leaves wiring in place for future tower audio upgrades.
The boat comes equipped with MasterCraft's full SurfStar system — electric-over-hydraulic actuators with position sensing, side-to-side switching, attitude adjustment plate, ballast bags, and tracking fins. Standard features also include a pop-up ski pylon, over-tower boat cover, 110-volt battery charger, and Swim Step platform. Fuel capacity is 49 gallons with a draft of 28 inches.
