The Nimbus Commuter 9 is a 30-foot fiberglass cruiser built for both daily commuting and weekend getaways. Powered by a single 250-horsepower Mercury diesel engine, it cruises at 34.76 knots and combines Scandinavian design with practical, thoughtful layout throughout.
The cockpit is the heart of the boat, featuring a large sliding glass roof hatch that floods the space with natural light. Two swiveling chairs and a passenger sofa accommodate four diners comfortably, with the sofa converting to an extra bed for children or a single adult. The helm position is compact and modern, with space for dual instrumentation—either a single 9-inch or 12-inch chart plotter, or twin 12-inch displays. An alternative electronically opening canvas canopy can replace the standard glass roof for those preferring open-air exposure in good weather.
Below, the forward cabin contains a double berth, a separate head, and a kitchenette. A large foredeck hatch provides direct cabin access and serves as a loading point. The foredeck itself can be fitted with an optional daybed that seats four or extends into a sunbed, adding flexibility to the outdoor spaces. The aft deck features a wide sofa with integrated stowage.
