The Nordhavn 46 MK II is a full displacement motor yacht built on four decades of ocean cruising heritage. This 46-foot fiberglass yacht combines the proven seakeeping design of the original Nordhavn 46—a boat that has crossed more oceans and circumnavigated the globe more times than any other production motoryacht—with modern engineering and systems. Twin Nanni diesel engines of 270 horsepower replace the single screw of the original, improving safety and reliability while enhancing efficiency. Computational Fluid Dynamics optimization and a redesigned underbody refine steering response and fuel economy, with fuel capacity increased by over 30 percent for extended range.
The layout provides two cabins and two heads arranged around a newly optimized interior plan. The engine room is nearly walk-in accessible, a significant improvement in serviceability. Modern materials increase hull strength and dampen noise. Lithium-ion battery integration allows proportional thruster controls and extended periods away from shore power without running the generator. The electrical system has been thoroughly evolved to match today's cruising expectations.
Standard equipment throughout reflects current cruiser priorities: full-size washer and dryer, air conditioning, diesel heating, and stabilizers. The exterior lines are sleeker than the original, keeping the modern Nordhavn aesthetic while maximizing interior volume. Built in Taiwan following the proven production methodology of the Nordhavn 41 and 51 models, the 46 MK II comes complete with all major systems and gear, aside from a dinghy and watermaker.
