2026 Nordhavn 59 Coastal Pilot
About This Yacht
The Nordhavn 59 Coastal Pilot is a 59-foot fiberglass motor yacht built for extended coastal cruising. Its semi-displacement hull is designed for top speeds around 18 knots and efficient, comfortable cruising at lower speeds. The boat carries a CE Category A offshore rating, confirming its strength and seakeeping capabilities for serious passages of up to a thousand miles.
The main deck layout centers on a large galley, dinette, and lounge area with a lower helm station featuring a double helm seat. This configuration keeps the watch and living spaces integrated, allowing a single helmsman to participate in daily activities while maintaining visibility and quick access to the side deck for mooring. The galley includes double sinks, a residential-size electric stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, Bosch refrigerator and freezer, and ample cabinetry. A separate laundry room with washer and dryer and an additional 5-cubic-foot deep freeze complement the provisioning capability. The yacht offers a choice of two or three stateroom layouts. Both configurations include a luxurious forward guest stateroom. The three-stateroom version adds upper and lower guest berths, while the two-stateroom version provides an expansive owners suite with two entrances, dual-sink ensuite head with separate toilet room, and generous storage. The three-cabin layout maintains owner accommodations while prioritizing guest space.
The flybridge seats up to 12 people around a fixed dining table and includes a helm station, with structural storage below and a fiberglass arch for antenna mounting. The aft flybridge can accommodate a 14-foot tender on a Steelhead 800-pound davit. A raised aft deck off the salon can be enclosed with canvas and Isinglass and features climate control. The cockpit includes a large integral swim step for boarding and water activities.
Twin Cummins engines producing 1,430 horsepower total are mounted aft, isolated from living spaces by two structural, insulated bulkheads. The engine room is accessed from the lower aft deck with full headroom and walk-around access to both engines for inspection and service. Machinery can be serviced or removed without entering accommodations. A single 1,100-gallon molded fiberglass fuel tank with man-size access plates serves all fuel needs. Pod drive options are available in place of conventional shaft drives.
