The Pioneer 222 Sportfish is a 22-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a single Yamaha 250 hp gasoline engine. It's designed as a serious fishing platform with tournament-level features, combining open-water capability with practical comfort for a full day on the water.
The layout centers on a spacious, self-bailing cockpit with a fully bolstered design for safety and movement. The console includes a step-down galley with porta potty, digital gauges, and seastar hydraulic tilt steering. A 32-gallon live well sits integrated into the plan, flanked by twin insulated fish boxes forward. Storage runs throughout—dual gunwale rod racks with bolster cushions, a deluxe fiberglass lean post with five rod holders, and an anchor locker. The 91-gallon fuel tank supports extended range, while an 80-quart Engel cooler with cushion handles provisions.
Standard equipment spans marine essentials: a 1500-GPH bilge pump with auto float switch, dual battery switch, recessed trim tabs with indicator light, and a molded non-skid inner liner throughout. Hardware includes stainless steel cleats (6-inch springline, dual forward, and rear with hawse pipe), a full low-profile bow rail, rear folding jumpseats, removable windshield, and a stainless steel prop. A starboard and port swim platform provide water access.
The boat comes on an all-welded aluminum Magic Tilt trailer. Optional upgrades available include a deluxe hard top, Garmin 94SV chartplotter, JL Audio stereo, raw water washdown, trolling motor prewire, and various cosmetic finishes.
