The Privilege Signature 580 is a 58-foot catamaran built in fiberglass with twin 220-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines and shaft drive propulsion. This design reflects a commitment to serious offshore capability: shaft drives keep engine and transmission components accessible while the boat is in the water, avoiding the compromises of sail drives. The hull's beam of over 30 feet delivers the stability and interior volume expected of the Signature line.

The layout offers flexibility in how the forward section is configured. One option includes a forward lounge accessible from both the main salon and owner's suite. An alternative reserves that foredeck space for storage, with direct cabin access removed. The helm station is positioned for excellent sightlines and easy communication with both the cockpit and upper fly deck. Single-line reefing and primary sail controls—main halyard, main sheet, and genoa sheets—lead to two electric winches at the helm, while a standard electric furling system manages the genoa.

A dedicated navigation station sits forward with ample workspace for passage planning and communication. The design reflects the proven blue-water reputation of the Signature 585, with refinements built in to extend that capability.
