The Privilege Signature 580 is a 58-foot fiberglass catamaran built for offshore cruising and blue water capability. Twin 220-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines power the boat via a robust shaft drive system, which keeps engine and transmission components accessible while underway. The hull spans 30 feet across the beam, providing the stability and interior volume expected of a modern cruising catamaran.

The design prioritizes helm efficiency and sail handling. The helm station offers strong sightlines to the cockpit and upper fly deck, with an intelligent line management system that allows sail trim from the wheel. Control lines for the main halyard, main sheet, and genoa sheets feed to two electric winches positioned at the helm, while a standard electric furling system manages the genoa. A dedicated forward-facing navigation station provides a spacious work area for passage planning.

Accommodation layout is flexible. The boat can be configured with a forward lounge accessible from both the salon and owner's suite, or alternatively the foredeck area can be dedicated to storage, eliminating the forward cockpit lounge and that direct access. This modular approach allows the layout to suit different cruising priorities.
