The Ranger RT178C is a 17.8-foot aluminum runabout built for fishing. Its bow layout features three-across seating and an 8-foot 6-inch rod box, with an in-deck tackle storage box and divided, aerated livewell positioned for convenient access. The wider bow design reduces the chance of stepping on rods while working. The rear deck provides additional tackle storage and another aerated livewell, leaving ample room to fish. Under the bench seating sits more storage, while the cantilevered fiberglass console offers generous legroom for the driver and passenger.

The boat is powered by a single 75 horsepower Mercury Marine engine. The upholstery throughout is marine-grade, and the design emphasizes storage and functionality across the entire deck layout.
