The 2026 Ranger RT188 is an 18-foot 10-inch aluminum runabout built for fishing and recreation. Powered by a single 90-horsepower Mercury Marine engine, it combines practical size with accessible performance in a platform designed to be straightforward to own and operate.
The hull is all-welded aluminum with full-length flotation foam that provides structural strength, reduces wave shock and vibration, and minimizes noise for quieter operation in shallow water. The foam-filled design contributes to overall durability and a solid feel underway. The boat features a generous front deck with good stability and open space for fishing or standing room, avoiding the constraint of a narrow bow. A handmade fiberglass console accommodates electronics up to 12 inches and includes precision steering and rocker switches for helm control.
The layout is straightforward and functional. A recessed trolling motor foot pedal sits integrated into the deck, while an 8-foot 6-inch center rod and tackle locker is flanked by two substantial storage compartments. A large, aerated and divided livewell handles baitfish management. Storage and organization are prioritized throughout the boat to keep essential gear accessible without clutter.
The RT188 comes with a custom-matched Ranger Trail trailer for transport and storage.
