The 2026 Ranger RT188 is an 18.8-foot aluminum runabout built as a fishing platform that balances practical day-boat handling with serious capability. The all-welded hull is fitted throughout with flotation foam that provides structural strength while reducing hull vibration and noise—useful for approaching shallow water quietly. The aluminum construction keeps weight down without sacrificing durability.

The layout prioritizes fishability and deck space. The front deck is notably wide, offering stability and room to move without crowding the rod holders. An 8-foot, 6-inch center rod and tackle locker runs down the middle, flanked by two large storage compartments. The trolling motor foot pedal is recessed into the deck for unobstructed movement. The fiberglass console is handcrafted to accept electronics up to 12 inches and features precision steering with rocker switches for systems control.
