2026 Ranger Tugs R-27

The Ranger Tugs R-27 is a 31-foot fiberglass trawler built for coastal cruising, fishing, and extended exploration. Powered by a 300 hp Yamaha outboard, it combines efficient performance with the practicality of a fully trailerable design. The boat features a bow thruster for confident maneuvering and a comprehensive suite of navigation electronics including a Garmin 8612xsv plotter with GPS and sonar, radar, and autopilot.

The cabin is bright and open, with a curved front windshield and overhead glass atrium that provide natural light and 360-degree visibility. The layout flows naturally from the pilothouse through the salon to the aft cockpit, with well-placed hatches and windows ensuring excellent ventilation. A private forward stateroom and midship berth provide sleeping quarters, while the dinette converts to additional berth space. The galley includes a propane stove and oven with a separate Kenyon electric grill, and the fully enclosed head features a shower with enclosure.

Deck space is thoughtfully planned, with bow lounge seating, a spacious aft cockpit with double lounges, and a self-bailing design. An electric windlass with bow and helm controls, rod holders, stainless steel swim platform and ladder, and an anchor package with 150 feet of line are fitted as standard. The boat sits on a factory trailer.

Equipment throughout reflects serious cruising capability: air conditioning with reverse-cycle heat, a lithium-ion battery system with 175-watt solar panel, 30-amp shore power inlet with 50-foot cord, LED lighting, a Fusion multi-zone stereo system, and a full complement of safety gear. The hull is foam-filled fiberglass with a vinylester barrier coat finished in Midnight Blue.
