The Scout 188 Sportfish is an 18-foot fiberglass center console powered by a single Yamaha 90 hp gasoline engine. Built on Scout's Air Assist Hull design, the boat is engineered for early plane, stable handling, and responsive performance while requiring less horsepower than comparable models. The hull design delivers high-performance characteristics in a compact package.
The console layout includes a lounge seat with an integrated storage box and fish box underneath, plus seating for six around the boat. Rod storage is abundant, with four flush-mounted holders at the stern, storage for four rods under the gunwale, and three additional rod holders on the console side. An aerated live well sits on the port aft side. The boat includes six pull-up cleats and six cup holders throughout the layout.
Available options cover comfort, control, and fishing functionality: a hydraulic steering system, a Fusion Bluetooth stereo with four 6-inch speakers, a reversible pilot seat with underseat cooler, a starboard side swim platform, a dual battery select switch, and a sport package featuring an aluminum bimini top and bow cushion with bolster.
