The 2026 Scout 188 Sportfish is an 18-foot center console built on Scout's Air Assist Hull design, which enables early planing and enhanced stability while requiring minimal horsepower. Powered by a single Yamaha 90-horsepower gasoline engine, this fiberglass boat delivers performance typical of larger models while maintaining the efficiency and handling characteristics of its class.

The layout centers on a console with an integrated lounge seat and dedicated storage beneath, complemented by seating for six throughout the boat. The design emphasizes fishing-focused equipment: a port aft aerated live well, four flush-mounted rod holders at the stern, rod storage along the gunwale and console side, and six pull-up cleats positioned around the deck. Additional amenities include cup holders distributed across the boat.
