The Scout 188 Sportfish is an 18-foot center console built in fiberglass and powered by a single 90-horsepower Yamaha engine. The model brings features typically found on larger boats to a compact, maneuverable package suited for coastal and inshore fishing.

The boat's layout centers on an open console design with ample deck space for working or cruising. It accommodates dual integrated swim platforms and features four flush-mounted rod holders at the stern, plus three additional rod storage positions on the console side and rod storage under the gunwales for up to four rods. An aerated live well sits on the port aft, and six pull-up cleats line the deck. The boat includes six cup holders and a port swim ladder with grab rail for water access.

Available options enhance comfort and functionality. A sport package adds an aluminum bimini top with bow and bolster cushions, while a Fusion Bluetooth stereo with four 6-inch speakers provides audio.
