The Scout 261 XSS is a 26-foot inshore/offshore crossover built on a composite hull. Powered by a single 400-horsepower Mercury outboard, it combines the design and finish of Scout's luxury line with the practical layout of a dedicated fishing boat. The aggressive styling and high-performance hull are built for serious bay work.
The boat features expansive casting decks fore and aft, with port and starboard aerated baitwells integrated into the leaning post. Rod storage is substantial, including lockable storage, vertical racks at the console, and a coffin box. The flush rear deck accommodates flip-up backrests and seat cushions, while a transom swim ladder provides water access. Bow storage and a console-mounted Garmin 9-inch display with thru-hull transducer round out the primary features.
Additional systems include SeaStar hydraulic steering, a 10-inch jackplate, trolling motor pre-rig provisions, and a Fusion stereo package. The boat has one head and provisions for a Yamaha or Mercury outboard configuration.
