The Seawind 1270 is a 42-foot catamaran designed and built to Category A unlimited offshore certification. The hull is fiberglass construction with dual Yanmar diesel engines rated at 58 horsepower each. The design expands on the Seawind range with a longer and wider platform that improves stability, interior space, and performance. The underwater hull shapes have been optimized, and a raised carbon composite foreboom enhances wave clearance and off-wind capability.
The boat accommodates three cabins and three heads. Interior headroom reaches 1.98 meters throughout the saloon and sleeping quarters. The layout is available in two versions: three-cabin with galley-down, or three-cabin with galley-up and an integral forward-facing navigation station. A signature Seawind Trifold Door system opens the saloon and cockpit into a unified living area.
The deck plan features flat surfaces running from bow to stern with improved freeboard and raised foredeck. Twin helm stations are positioned behind a substantial bulkhead and offer 360-degree visibility. Safety features include 810-millimeter stanchions with four lifelines and wider transoms fitted with aft boarding steps. The beam width of just under 23 feet and overall length of 42 feet provide the platform for a genuinely spacious interior, particularly in the forward cabins.
