The 2026 ShearWater 260 Carolina Flare is a 26-foot center console powered by a single Mercury 350 V10 engine. Built on a fiberglass hull, it combines open-water capability with serious fishing features. The boat rides on a Kevlar-reinforced, foam-core hull designed for unsinkability, and includes a self-bailing cockpit and twin 1100 GPH bilge pumps for safety and seaworthiness.
The fishing setup is comprehensive. The console features a Garmin 1243xsv multifunction display with transducer, dual tournament-grade livewells with high-speed pickups and recirculating aeration, and eight stainless rod holders. A MinnKota Terrova trolling motor and single 10-foot PowerPole blade support positioning. The leaning post includes storage and livewell access, while twin rod lockers with cushioned backrests provide tackle organization. The boat carries a portable head, fresh and raw water washdowns, and a six-jet misting system.
Electronics and audio are integrated throughout. The Fusion head unit connects to a JL Audio system with four 7.7-inch speakers, while ShadowCaster underwater blue lights and dual underwater lights enhance visibility. Lighting includes five rod holders, spreader lights, docking lights, and a Razor driving light. The hardtop is stainless steel with misting jets built in. The helm features plush seating with flip-up bolsters and folding armrests, while coaming pads and helm pad cushioning are standard.
