The Smoker Craft Osprey 162 is a 16-foot aluminum runabout built for fishing and open-water recreation. Its aluminum hull measures 7.67 feet across the beam and features a 17-degree deadrise at the transom for a responsive, stable ride. The boat accommodates up to six persons and is rated for a maximum of 115 horsepower.
The layout centers on angling functionality. Twin fishing seats occupy the bow, with the helm positioned at an elevated console fitted with tilt steering and a safety glass windshield. A walk-through canvas fisherman's top with side and drop curtains provides weather protection. Below deck, a 26-gallon bow livewell and dedicated fish box system keep the catch fresh, while in-floor storage and rod racks keep tackle organized. Additional features include a bow storage compartment, under-console storage with shelf, tackle tray, and toe holds positioned throughout.
The 162 rides on a marine-treated plywood floor covered in vinyl and is supported by injected foam floatation for safety. A bilge pump manages any water, while instrumentation across the dash includes tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, and volt meter. Navigation lights and a 20-gallon fuel capacity support extended time on the water. The boat is available with optional upgrades including hydraulic steering, trolling motor provisions, additional seating configurations, and a trailerable ratchet cover.
