The 2026 Yamaha 255XD is a 24.5-foot jet boat built on a fiberglass hull and powered by twin supercharged 1.8-liter Yamaha SVHO engines producing 500 horsepower combined. The jet propulsion system delivers a top speed of nearly 48 mph, with the boat engineered specifically for wakesurfing performance. The hull design and onboard systems reflect Yamaha's focus on water sports capability and driver control.

The helm features a 12.3-inch Connext touchscreen—Yamaha's largest offering—set into a minimalist floating design. Engine and throttle management comes through an E-Series electronic system with push-button start/stop, RPM engine sync, and single-lever throttle pairing. Dock Assisting Technology allows sidling, dock hold, pivot turn, and thrust control from the steering wheel alone.

Integrated WakeBoosters deploy from the touchscreen to create wakesurf conditions on either side of the boat. A factory-installed ballast system with 1,600 pounds of capacity supports the boat's towing and wake-shaping functions. Interior surfaces use Chil-Cool Touch Vinyl, engineered with heat-reflective coating for durability and mildew resistance.
