The Canados Gladiator 961 Speed is a 96-foot motor yacht built from advanced composite materials engineered for high-speed performance. The hull uses E-Glass and Vinylester resin infusion, while the deck and superstructure employ vacuum-bagged carbon fiber. Interior elements—cabin floors, furniture, and fittings—are constructed from lightweight cored composites, high-density foam, and aluminum honeycomb to optimize weight distribution. Titanium and forged carbon fiber cleats complete the structural details. The yacht is available with either twin MTU 16V 2000M96L engines producing 2,600 horsepower each, or triple MAN V12 engines rated at 2,000 horsepower. Both powerplants couple to surface drives fitted with auto-trim and auto-flap systems that electronically adjust for optimal fuel efficiency at cruising speeds approaching 50 knots.
The aft deck functions as a social hub with seating for twelve, a wet bar equipped with grill, ice maker, and refrigerator, and a retractable cinema screen measuring 1.6 by 2.8 meters mounted on carbon fiber poles. The expansive foredeck holds twin oversized sofas and an ergonomic sun pad. The sport flybridge—the largest in its class—provides wind protection during high-speed running. The main deck saloon features panoramic side windows, an oversized sofa, hidden television mounted in the bar area, and a round dining table separated from the wheelhouse by a central totem with its own display screen. The helmsman's station sits on the boat's centerline for optimal feel at speed, with visibility enhanced by a single-piece curved glass windshield.
Below deck, the yacht offers flexible cabin arrangements: either three cabins with a home cinema or four cabins, all with a full-beam master suite positioned at the boat's center. The lower deck also houses a Boffi galley, crew quarters for four, and engine room access. Italian designer Cristiano Gatto conceived the interiors to balance luxury with the boat's performance-oriented purpose. The main deck employs natural materials—white and taupe premium Italian leather for walls, lacquered wood ceilings, and linen upholstery—combined with satin blond ash wood panels and synthetic teak decking. Glossy carbon fiber side cabinetry provides visual contrast, reinforcing the yacht's engineering foundation. The lower deck uses wood parquet and custom carpet flooring with custom-embossed leather wall treatments. Décor and material selections remain fully customizable by the owner.
