2027 McConaghy Botin 41
About This Yacht
The 2027 McConaghy Botin 41 is a new composite racing yacht built for IRC and Admiral's Cup competition. Designed by Botin and constructed by McConaghy using female tooling with pre-preg carbon and Nomex core, the hull is autoclave-cured for structural integrity. At 41.17 feet long with a 13.78-foot beam, the yacht delivers refined performance through meticulous engineering and material selection.
The rig package, designed by Steve Wilson, features a high-modulus mast with titanium locks at the main, jib, masthead, and fractional positions, plus titanium internal tangs. The MC1 spars include a CNC-machined keel fin and bulb, an autoclave-cured rudder stock, and a carbon-Nomex boom with two titanium reef locks. Standing rigging is EC6 with hydraulic deflectors and forestay management.
Sail handling is managed through extensive Harken systems: pedestal-driven primaries and mainsheet with string drop, plus a titanium gearbox-driven vang, jib, cunningham, and outhaul. Helix reelers handle spinnaker sheets and halyards. Hardware throughout uses titanium construction, including fasteners and gearbox components. A single 30 hp engine provides auxiliary power.
Delivered as a factory-optimized platform, the yacht is built as a complete, ready-to-race package requiring only sails to compete.
