The MCP Global Exp 68 is a 68-foot aluminum sailing yacht built by MCP Yachts, engineered around sustainable cruising and expedition sailing. The hull uses Lloyd's Register-certified 5083 aluminum alloy, chosen for its lightweight strength, rigidity, and durability compared to conventional materials. Construction includes low-density composite structures integrated throughout, contributing to overall performance. Power comes from a single 195-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine.

The yacht accommodates four cabins and four heads across a well-considered layout. The aft stateroom serves as the main suite with a king bed, private office, high ceiling closets, sofa, and ensuite bathroom. Two midship cabins feature double beds, folding sofas, generous storage, and private heads with large ocean-deck hatches. The forward cabin functions as a spacious guest suite with a double bed, sofa, abundant locker space, and private bathroom. A raised salon with pilot house sits amidships, offering panoramic sea views and integrated navigation and engine controls. The central cockpit, fully protected by a rigid hardtop, connects to the aft cabin without compromising volume.

The engine room is fully enclosed with high ceilings, accessed via a watertight door with manual lockers and fitted with watertight aluminum bulkheads and acoustic insulation rated to 600 degrees Celsius. A dedicated electronic technical area with controlled ventilation houses navigation equipment, battery chargers, and monitoring systems. The bow includes a separate technical workspace for maintenance and tool storage.

The yacht features a hydraulic retractable swing keel that delivers a minimum draft of 1.85 meters when raised, protecting the propeller and rudder. The hydraulic mechanism functions as a shock absorber in case of impact and is engineered for robustness during anchoring approaches.
