This 1925 Great Lakes Boatbuilding runabout is exceptionally rare—one of only two known examples of its kind. Built in Milwaukee by a company better recognized for larger private yachts and commercial vessels, the boat represents an uncommon venture into smaller craft by the builder. The 26-foot wooden hull is powered by a Chrysler Crown six-cylinder engine, a 1950s replacement for the original powerplant.
The wood planking is largely original, with approximately three planks replaced on the deck following what appears to be impact damage from years ago. All brass hardware remains original except for new rub rails, which were meticulously duplicated to match the originals. The removable aft windscreen was faithfully recreated from sketches supplied by the original owners. The leather interior color—a yellow shade—was carefully matched to factory specifications, confirmed by Eagle Ottawa Leather as an authentic 1925 offering from their Milwaukee facility.
The boat has passed through roughly four owners since its delivery to the Les Cheneaux Islands in Michigan. A custom tandem-axle Integrity trailer and waterline mooring cover are included.
