A classic wooden schooner designed by John Alden in the 1920s, this 51-foot yacht was built by Hodgdon and has carried several names throughout her working life. The hull is solid wood construction with elegant lines typical of Alden's offshore cruising designs. She is powered by a single Perkins Marine diesel engine of 80 horsepower, capable of a cruising speed of 6 knots and a maximum speed of 8 knots.
The interior accommodates six people across two cabins and one head. The main accommodation features an owner's cabin with a French bed, a spacious saloon with side berths and sofas, and a dinette. The galley is fitted with a stainless steel sink, 4-burner stove with oven on gimballed support, two refrigerators, and a freezer. Teak finishes and flooring run throughout, with generous storage lockers and bookshelves. The head includes a manual toilet, ceramic sink, and shower with teak grating.
Navigation and electrical systems are in place, including GPS, anemometer, autopilot, VHF radio, and an original compass. Hot water, battery systems, and an inverter are installed. The navigation lights and spreader lights require overhaul. The diesel engine needs complete overhaul, and several onboard technical systems and installations would benefit from updating. Onboard manuals, lines, fenders, and safety equipment are included.
