1929 Consolidated Long Island Express Cruiser

This 1929 Consolidated Long Island Express Cruiser is a rare survivor from the golden age of Manhattan commuter yachts. Built by the renowned Consolidated Commuter Company, she was designed to carry wealthy owners swiftly and elegantly between Manhattan and their Long Island estates during the 1920s and 1930s. Her 65-foot hull is double-planked mahogany with teak decks and superstructure, retaining the original character of her era.

Twin AIFO Fiat diesel engines produce 800 horsepower, delivering a cruising speed of 14 knots and a maximum speed of 25 knots, with a range of approximately 700 nautical miles. The yacht accommodates six guests across two cabins and includes two heads and a well-equipped galley.

The interior features a spacious salon suited to entertaining, with appointments that blend original period details and modern comfort. The boat underwent a comprehensive six-year restoration that preserved her aesthetic integrity while addressing structural and systems needs. Her hull, deck, and superstructure were restored to a high standard, and the engines were replaced in 1996.
