The 2010 Mangusta 72 Express is powered by twin MTU 10V 2000 M93 diesel engines producing 3,000 horsepower combined, with Arneson twin-disc surface drives. The yacht cruises at 34 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 41 knots. An MTU engine overhaul was completed in 2024, and the engines have logged 1,600 hours. Both generators remain operational at 7,600 and 6,700 hours respectively. The boat features a hardtop and factory salon doors, joystick control, bow and stern thrusters, and a toy garage with hydraulic lift. Updated Garmin electronics include a new radar installed in 2024.
The layout comprises three staterooms and three heads, with additional crew quarters for two and a separate head. The salon features factory doors—a significant original upgrade. Interior electrical outlets were converted from 220 to 110 volts in 2023. Four air conditioning units have been renewed within the last 18 months. New batteries were installed in spring 2024, and all bilge pumps were replaced in 2023 with redundant engine bilge systems added in 2024. An exterior sound system with Bluetooth was installed in spring 2024.
Recent service work includes a complete Arneson service, bottom job, and prop speed adjustment completed in February 2025. The steering system, windlass, and yacht controller were all serviced in 2024 and early 2025. Bow and stern thruster props were replaced during 2025 servicing. The hull was professionally buffed and polished in February 2025. Temperature controllers, transmissions, and the A/C water pump have all been serviced or replaced within the last year. Two HD4 Hull Shield systems were installed in 2023. The yacht draws 4 feet.
