About This Yacht
The Haj Class, designed by Gunnar L. Stenbäck in 1930, is a Swedish one-design racing daysailer built by Abo Batvart Boatyard in Helsinki. This 32-foot wooden sailing yacht measures 6.25 feet in beam. Between 1933 and 1935, 25 of these boats were imported to Camden, Maine, where they became known locally as Finnboats and raced regularly through the early 1980s. The same design remains in production in France under the name Requin Class.
This boat is one of the original Camden fleet and has been restored and maintained by the same family that commissioned her. She is actively sailed and fitted with new sails, ready for immediate use.
