1934 Feadship De Vries Lentsch

This 1934 Feadship is a steel-hulled motor yacht designed by H.W. de Voogt and built at De Vries Lentsch's shipyard in Nieuwendam under build number 843. At 72 feet in length and just under 15 feet in beam, the yacht was conceived for extended ocean passages while remaining narrow enough to navigate French inland waterways to the Riviera. The hull form is round-bilged steel construction with a displacement of approximately 50 tons.

The yacht is powered by twin John Deere six-cylinder diesel engines producing 150 horsepower each, fitted with ZF reduction gearboxes and totaling approximately 430 running hours since installation in 2012. Bow and stern thrusters by Sleipner were added in 2023. Fuel capacity is 2,400 liters across two tanks, with fresh water storage of 2,400 liters and grey water capacity of 600 liters.

Systems include a Fischer Panda generator installed in 2021, eight Victron AGM battery units of 240 amp-hours each, three Victron inverters rated at 2,500 watts, and eight solar panels. Navigation equipment comprises a PC Navigo chartplotter, radar, depth sounder, turn indicator, and Radio Holland VHF radio with AIS.

The boat underwent substantial restoration work beginning in 2020, with documentation and technical drawings from its entire operational history available. The extensive archive includes photographs, survey records, and refurbishment details spanning from its launch through the current restoration phase.
