This 37-foot Freeman is a classic yacht designed by Reginald Freeman and built in 1936 by William King & Sons at Burnham on Crouch in Essex. The hull is copper-riveted with pitch pine planking over oak, construction typical of fine British boatbuilding of that era. Power comes from a single 36 hp BUKH diesel engine.
The boat raced and cruised in Scottish waters through the 1980s before undergoing refurbishment. She was then sailed to San Francisco, where she remains today. The wooden hull and traditional construction reflect the craftsmanship and design principles of Freeman's time, combining seaworthiness with the elegance characteristic of yachts from this period.
