This 1961 Chris-Craft Roamer 36 is a steel-hulled classic powered by twin 283 V-8 engines producing 370 horsepower. The 31-foot yacht measures 11 feet 4 inches across the beam and was built to the standards Chris-Craft was known for during the early postwar era.
The boat has undergone a complete restoration. The steel hull was stripped to bare metal, sandblasted inside and out, and all welds were inspected and verified. New steel was installed where needed, and the hull was sealed with two-part epoxy throughout. All mahogany interior components were replaced as necessary and color-matched to original specifications, finished with 15 to 20 coats. Original brass hardware and screens were retained.
The engines were completely rebuilt and paired with new transmissions and shafts. All gauges, switches, and fasteners are original Chris-Craft components; the tachometers were rebuilt to zero hours. Wiring and plumbing systems are new throughout. The boat includes custom-built stainless refrigeration with authentic Chris-Craft hardware and extra insulation. New glass and windows were fitted, and all hardware was replaced. The yacht has one head.
