1944 Luders 24

This 1944 Luders-24 is a rare example of A.E. Luders Jr.'s iconic racing design, one of only 15 built. The yacht measures 38 feet overall with a narrow, easily driven hull derived from the International 6-Meter rule. Construction uses advanced hot-molded laminated wood, delivering exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and structural integrity. The boat is distinguished by a cabin trunk—believed to be fitted only on this example—which provides below-deck space and shelter without sacrificing performance.

The yacht carries a comprehensive Doyle sail inventory including a mainsail with reef, furling jib and genoa, cruising genoa, and multiple spinnakers in varying weights. Recent work completed in 2022 and 2023 includes a new racing bottom, custom sliding companionway hatch, Ronstan two-speed self-tailing mainsheet winch, custom jib lead adjustment system, and folding bow cleat.
