A 1952 custom wooden troller originally designed by Frank Fredette for Nicholson Boatworks, this 44-foot classic displays elegant lines and full-displacement hull form typical of quality fishing vessels from that era. She is powered by a single Gardner 6LW diesel engine of 72 horsepower, fitted with dry exhaust. The hull and cabin underwent substantial work in 2023 and 2024, including fresh topside paint with Interprotect 2000, ablative bottom paint, replacement of all zincs, and teak bow planking revarnished.
The cabin spaces were significantly reconfigured during the recent refit. A portion of the original fish hold was converted into a head with an electric freshwater macerating toilet, custom sink, and fiberglass shower. The galley was upgraded with new storage cabinetry, quartz countertops, an Isotherm refrigerator/freezer, and microwave. An aft seating and entertainment area was professionally designed and partially enclosed, with a custom swim step added. The pilothouse sole was raised nine inches.
The boat received a complete systems overhaul: the electrical system was rewired throughout with full upgrades, water systems were completely renewed with two 45-gallon polyurethane tanks, a 6-gallon hot water tank, and new pump, and Garmin navigation and safety systems were installed. The wooden hull and interior joinery reflect solid construction practices from her building era, while the systematic modernization of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems positions her for extended cruising.
