HANKO III is a 1955 Six Metre designed and built by Norwegian designer Bjarne Aas. This 35-foot wooden sailing yacht embodies classic elegance with fine lines and balanced proportions characteristic of the post-Olympic Six Metre era. The design reflects the pedigree of its original commission and the quality of Aas's renowned Fredrikstad yard.
The boat underwent comprehensive restoration by Six Metre World Champion Eric Jespersen at his shipyard on Vancouver Island. This work transformed HANKO III into a modern racing yacht while maintaining the original design's grace. The restoration included conversion to current racing specification and brought the boat to top competitive condition.
HANKO III comes equipped with a second mast, a near-new North 3Di sail wardrobe, and a trailer. The boat is fully outfitted and ready for both competitive racing and cruising. Since restoration, the yacht has competed at major European and World Championships, accumulating strong racing results across multiple venues.
