The Gozzard 36E is a Canadian-built sailing yacht with proven blue water capabilities and classic styling. Her strong cutter rig and flexible sail plan are easily managed from the cockpit, where all halyards, reefing, and furling lines are led, allowing shorthanded crews to adjust sails without leaving the helm. The boat cruises at 6 knots with a maximum speed of 8 knots, powered by a 50 hp Beta diesel engine.
The interior layout maximizes space across a 36-foot hull, featuring a king-sized aft cabin, U-shaped galley with dinette, large head with separate shower, full navigation station, and open-plan forward salon. The secure and spacious cockpit is fitted with a stainless-steel arch and offshore davits installed in 2021, which keep the mainsheet clear and support a full cockpit enclosure. A fold-down transom section provides easy access for swimming and dinghy boarding.
In 2021, the yacht underwent major upgrades including a new Beta 50 engine, complete standing rigging replacement, diesel hydroic heating, new electronics and communications systems, and a full safety equipment package. Electrical systems were completely replaced with 400 amp-hours of lithium batteries, 860 watts of solar panels, and Victron hardware including a 2000-watt inverter/charger, solar controllers, and Cerbo GX touchscreen. Additional equipment includes a water maker, Highfield UL260 dinghy, and cockpit enclosure with stackpack.
