This 73-foot ocean racer was built by Hinckley in 1956 to a Sparkman & Stephens design. The wooden hull is supported by a 200 hp Yanmar diesel engine and carries three cabins and three heads below deck.
The yacht underwent comprehensive restoration in 2004 by Classic Yachts Management and Cantiere Sangermani. During this work, interior systems were removed, inspected, and reinstalled with new hydraulic and electrical installations. A new teak deck was laid over plywood, and the yacht received new masts, standing rigging, and running rigging alongside the new Yanmar engine.
In 2013, Cantieri dell'Argentario carried out further restoration work, completely replacing the mahogany hull planking with thorough inspection and restoration of the frames and floors. All fastening was completed in silicon bronze screws.
