1992 Custom Baymarin - custom S/Y

This 73-foot sailing yacht was built by Baymarine in Ayvalik, Turkey between 1989 and 1992. Rigged as a ketch with roller-furling jib, mainsail, and mizzen, she combines the hull form of a gulet with balanced sailing performance and a cruising speed of 8 knots. Twin Perkins 175 hp diesel engines provide auxiliary power and are controlled from both the interior and the upper deck station.

The layout centers on six cabins—one owner's suite and five guest cabins—each with private head and shower. A 38 square-meter saloon serves as the main living space, with an integrated galley, dining area, and lounge. Wood joinery throughout creates a warm interior. Crew quarters with independent access are located aft. Exterior spaces include a large forward sun deck, a spacious aft cockpit with U-shaped seating and extendable table, and an upper helm station with bimini.

In 2008 the hull underwent a complete refit that included epoxy fiber reinforcement of the mahogany structure, significantly improving durability and reducing maintenance compared to traditional wooden construction. A 2014 update added a second Onan 16 kVA generator. Recent upgrades include a seven-panel solar array with 12-volt battery bank installed in 2022 and three kayaks added in 2023. The boat carries fresh water capacity of 3,000 liters, diesel fuel of 2,000 liters, and an Avon tender with 40 hp engine.

Navigation equipment includes a Raymarine C120 GPS chartplotter with 12 kW radar, ST6002 autopilot with wireless remote, VHF radio, and depth sounder. The galley is fully equipped with gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, and separate refrigeration for crew provisions. A 54-inch Smart TV with satellite antenna and Pioneer audio system with six speakers serve entertainment across the boat.
