A 1956 Sangermani motorsailer designed by Arthur Cecil Robb, this 40-foot classic wooden hull combines traditional craftsmanship with practical cruising capability. The boat is powered by a Ford New Holland diesel engine of 134 horsepower, revised in 2020 with impeller replacement, fresh oil, and cleaned heat exchangers. She cruises at 8 knots with fuel consumption of 7 liters per hour at 1700 rpm, and is fitted with a trim tab for improved handling.
The interior accommodates two cabins and one head, arranged for comfortable cruising. The galley and head were renewed in 2017, with an electric toilet added in 2019. Batteries date to 2019 and a Samsung television was installed in 2017. Six USB charging points provide modern convenience. A 1500-watt electric windlass with a polished steel 35-kilogram anchor and 70 meters of steel chain are aboard, along with a Zodiac tender equipped with a 2.5 hp Suzuki outboard from 2017.
Extensive restoration work was completed in 2023 and 2024. The superstructure and gunwales were stripped to bare wood and treated with ten coats of Spinnaker Cecchi Gold Fashion paint in 2020. The deckhouse and deck were resealed in 2020, portholes repacked, and the hull treated with fresh antifouling and zincs in September 2020. Water and fuel tanks, electrical systems, and tank level and rudder position indicators all date to 2017 or later. The boat is presented in excellent aesthetic and functional condition with no leaks, and includes winter and summer covers plus multiple canvas hoods.
