1958 Chris-Craft Constellation

This 42-foot Chris-Craft Constellation is a 1958 sedan-bridge model built from mahogany with double-planked bottom construction. The wheelhouse is fiberglass. The hull has been maintained structurally sound with no deteriorated wood or dry rot. In recent years, the boat underwent a comprehensive aesthetic renovation: decks and cabin tops were waterproofed with fiberglass cloth and epoxy, and the hull received a custom off-white Interlux paint.

The interior has been fully refinished throughout. The master stateroom was modified to include a large desk in place of one berth, though this can be converted back to a bunk if needed. The remaining single berth now accommodates a double mattress. The boat is configured as a comfortable live-aboard.

Power comes from a single Chrysler Imperial 290 gasoline engine. In recent years, electronic ignition was installed, alternators replaced, and carburetors rebuilt. The engine maintains good compression and oil pressure, with no signs of oil burning or excessive blow-by. Annual oil changes have been performed consistently, with minimal engine hours in recent years.
