This 1961 International One Design is a mahogany-over-oak wooden racing yacht built in Norway, and a well-regarded competitor in the Chester, Nova Scotia fleet. The hull has been epoxied and finished in blue with a white waterline and cove stripe. The boat carries a 7/8 aluminum rig with an aluminum mast, boom, and spinnaker pole, fitted with 1x19 stainless steel rigging.
The boat has been substantially upgraded in recent years. The rig includes a 2023 Harken head sail furler, newer halyards, jib sheets, and spinnaker sheets, along with a Harken mainsheet traveller. The sail plan comprises a North main, jib, and spinnaker. The deck is traditional wood with fiberglass sheathing.
Onboard systems include a battery and bilge pump. The boat comes with a tandem yard storage trailer. South Shore Marine, present-day IOD builders, has overseen servicing and updates to this yacht.
