This 1964 Pacemaker 36 Sportfisherman is a classic wooden hull cruiser measuring 36 feet in length and 12 feet in beam, drawing 3 feet. Twin 350 cubic-inch GM Crusader engines with direct drive inboards power the boat, having approximately 350 hours since rebuild. The engines drive Velvet Drive transmissions, newly rebuilt and sourced from Federal Marine. The yacht cruises at 22 mph.
The boat has undergone systematic restoration and upgrade work. The galley was rebuilt in 2021 and updated in 2025 with a new Vitrifrigo refrigerator and freezer, convection microwave, sink, faucet, and countertop. Two marine air conditioning units were added, along with new battery charging and conditioning equipment and updated 12-volt switching. The flybridge gauges have been replaced, and a Garmin chartplotter was installed. The head was replaced, and the flybridge deck structure was entirely rebuilt in 2014.
The wooden hull received substantial attention in 2022 and 2025. All internal ribs were added or doubled from fore to aft, and the transom was completely rebuilt. Some bottom and topside planks were replaced during this work. All exterior paint was refinished in 2025, and all exterior brightwork was varnished. Most of the exterior metal hardware has been re-chromed.
