This 1965 Pearson Ensign is a 22.5-foot fiberglass sloop completed in a full restoration during 2024. The hull is finished in Flag Blue with AwlGrip. The boat carries a new fully battened North mainsail with Tides Track slides, a new North roller furling jib, newly painted mast and boom, and completely new standing and running rigging. The sail system includes new Tides Track mainsail track, a new Lazy Jack mainsail system, new Harken mainsheet traveler, and new Harken self-tailing winches.
The boat is equipped with a new 2023 Yamaha 4 hp four-stroke outboard mounted on the original brass motor mount with starboard plate. Electrical systems are new throughout, with a 12-volt wired system featuring running lights, an automatic bilge pump with solar charger, and new tracks and jib cars. A new custom Triad trailer and new mainsail cover are included.
The Ensign design by Carl Alberg is renowned for its solid construction and full keel. The boat offers a large, deep cockpit with comfortable seating capacity and a three-foot draft suited to shallow waters and inland anchoring. Since completion of its restoration, the boat has been sailed for one year exclusively on fresh water in Maine.
