1966 William Garden 37 Ketch

This 1966 William Garden 37 is a full-displacement wooden cruiser built for offshore passage-making. Designed by William Garden, the yacht features a long keel, cutter rig with staysail configuration, and heavy teak construction throughout. She displaces approximately 32,000 pounds with 10,500 pounds of ballast, and her 37-foot length and 12-foot beam support a hull form proven for seaworthy, comfortable motion at sea. A 45-horsepower Perkins diesel drives the boat at a cruising speed of 8 knots.

The interior is finished in teak with a forward V-berth, main salon with settees and dining table, functional galley, and enclosed head. Fresh water capacity is 200 gallons with 50 to 75 gallons of holding tank. The boat is equipped with a fridge, freezer, and propane stove. Teak flooring and decking have been refurbished, and new leather upholstery has been installed throughout.

Recent upgrades include new house batteries, fuses, and bilge pumps, a new AC adapter and solar converter, and a portable generator. Bottom paint and zincs were renewed. Electronics include GPS chartplotter, VHF radio, autopilot, and depth sounder. The cutter carries a mainsail and extra on board, a genoa and extra, and a staysail, all in good condition. Rigging is traditional wire suited for offshore versatility, with a windlass, anchors, and rode included. The boat has approximately 3,000 hours on the diesel engine.
