1990 Jeanneau Sun Shine 38

The Jeanneau Sun Shine 38 is a fiberglass sailing yacht from 1990, designed by Tony Castro. Built to the quality standards the Jeanneau yard is known for, this 36.91-foot cruiser balances performance under sail with comfortable accommodation for extended voyages. A Yanmar 30 hp diesel engine provides reliable auxiliary power, and the deck layout includes a teak cockpit, fixed swimming platform, and boarding ladder. Rigging consists of a roller foresail, mainsail, and jib, supported by winches and lazy bag and jack systems.

The three-cabin layout accommodates six berths across two aft cabins and a V-berth forward, with one head featuring an electric marine toilet. The saloon houses a compact galley with stove and a 100-liter refrigerator. A 200-liter fresh water tank and 85-liter fuel tank support extended cruising, while a hot water heater adds comfort below decks. Electrical systems run on 12V with battery banks and charger.

Navigation equipment includes GPS, depth sounder, log, anemometer, VHF radio, and compass. A stereo system with AM/FM radio and internal speakers rounds out onboard amenities. The rigging and sails were replaced in 2011, a significant investment ensuring continued efficiency and safety.
